Hi, I am Michele, and I extend you a warm welcome to Seva Training, where we offer training in Resource Therapy. The meaning of SEVA is grounded in traditions like karma yoga and emphasises the practice of serving with compassion, care, and devotion as a means to cultivate a sense of community, humility, and spiritual growth. We try to bring this to our practice as therapists, consultants, and trainers.

I am an Accredited Clinical Mental Health Social Worker, Clinical Resource Therapist Trainer, Accredited EMDR Consultant with EMDRAA and EMDRIA, EMDR Trainer & Victim Services Specialist Counsellor (Tier 2). I serve as a Partner & Therapist at Seva House Therapeutic Services in the Hunter Valley, NSW, working predominately with Victim Services Clients with complex trauma.

My passion lies in working with trauma and engaging in the profound therapeutic connections that this work entails. I am driven by a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring that I am always well-informed to provide the best practice possible to clients. This passion extends to my dedication to providing Training, Consultation, and Clinical Supervision services, reflecting my commitment to provide best practice possible to professionals working in the field.

In my clinical practice I work extensively with children, young people and adults who have experienced complex trauma such as child sexual abuse, domestic/family violence, addiction, and mental health issues. Working as Specialised Sexual Assault Worker with NSW Health for 10 years I am also trained to work with young people who have caused harm to others and problematic sexualised behaviours.

The therapeutic modalities I employ in my practice include Resource Therapy (RT), EMDR (with a focus on RI-EMDR integrating AI-EMDR, RT, Polyvagal/Somatic Work), Resource Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Polyvagal/Somatic Work, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

I am also a Somatic Integration and Processing Practitioner which is an interpersonal neurobiology conceptualisation tool that uses adaptive information processing and nervous system focused conceptual frameworks to understand what is happening for their clients and themselves. Understanding that the therapist also needs to be aware of their parts and care for them as well as their clients’ parts.

For those interested in RT Training I offer training with my colleague Amy English at Seva Training.

For those interested in RT Supervision I offer supervision in RT at my consultation website. Supervision website: www.emdrrelational.com
