Anna has been in private practice for over 30 years with extensive therapeutic experience in Australia and abroad. Anna is a Psychotherapist, Advanced Clinical Resource Therapist, Senior-level RT Trainer, RT Supervisor, and Clinical Hypnotherapist/Psychotherapist​.

Anna has been an integral figure in RTI. Anna was secretary for 8 years before retiring from all RT International and Executive duties in 2022.

In 2022, Anna and Gordon Emmerson divorced.

Anna founded The International School of Resource Therapy. A training organisation run solely by Anna Emmerson and distinct from Resource Therapy International.

Anna works with children and parents, youth, adults, seniors, and couples, and welcomes neurodiversity, disability, and people of all ethnicities, cultures, and religious and ideological beliefs. Anna welcomes people identifying as binary and non-binary including LGBTQ.

​Anna is also available for in-person or online Therapy, RT training, Supervision, and coaching for individuals and special interest groups including support groups, sports clubs, team building and professional development, workplace management training, and end-of-life – palliative care support, hospitals & hospices, bereavement services, and schools.
