Theme: Happy Parts, Healthy Self: Our Resources

We invite you to submit your abstracts for the Resource Therapy International World Conference 2025. Our theme, “Happy Parts, Healthy Self: Our Resources,” aims to highlight the vital role of Resource Therapy in fostering well-being and inner harmony of our personality parts. In our title we reference the founder of Resource Therapy Professor Gordon Emmerson PhD self-help book “Healthy Parts Happy Self: 3 Steps to Like Yourself (2012). 

“When our inner parts are at peace and when they all feel safe and supported we can be our true selves. There is no better gift to give ourselves and our friends” (Emmerson,2012) 

This quote highlights Resource Therapy’s unique healing potential of our internal world of parts. Parts Therapy are offering clients and clinician’s a compassionate easily learned system for transformation.

Submission Guidelines:

• Abstract Length: 300-500 words.
• Format: Include the title, author(s), affiliation, and contact information.
• Content: Provide a clear summary of the research, methodology, and findings. Highlight the relevance to Resource Therapy and its practical applications.
• Topics to Consider:

• Innovative Applications of Resource Therapy
• Case Studies/Case Formulation- 5 P’s and Clinical Practice – recommendations 
• States of Mastery-Performance Enhancement  RT
• Integration of Resource Therapy with Other Modalities
• Resource Therapy Theoretical and Practical Applications
• Research and Parts Work Evidence Base 
• Advances in Trauma and Anxiety Treatment
• Therapist Self-Care and Professional Development

Presentation Requirements

Selected presenters will be required to prepare the following:

1. Oral Presentation:
   • Duration:  Specify the time you require, eg 20 minutes presentation + 10 minutes Q&A.
   • Slides: Prepare a PowerPoint presentation summarising your key points.
   • Handouts: Provide any supporting materials for attendees.
2. Poster Presentation:
   • Dimensions: Standard A0 size (841 x 1189 mm) in portrait orientation.
   • Content: Clear and concise visuals with minimal text.
   • Availability: Presenters must be available during designated poster sessions.
3. Workshop/Interactive Session:
   • Duration: 60-90-180 minutes.
   • Format: Include interactive elements such as group discussions or hands-on activities.
   • Materials: Provide detailed outlines and any necessary materials for participants.

4. Panel Presentation

• Panel presentations bring together views from a group of presenters to discuss innovative ideas, current topics, and relevant issues. The panel session will run for 60 minutes and will consist of at least 3 panel members.
